The Future of The Human Brain: Are We Getting Closer to Mind-Reading Machines? Was Once Viewed Only in a Science Fiction Novel or Some Future Movie, however, there has been a Significant Technological Development in Neuroscience, AI, and BCI's that is Rapidly Changing Our Understanding of The Human Brain. Thought Interpretation by Machines Once Seemed Impossible - It Is Now Becoming a Reality. This Rapid Technological Advancement Has Filled Many People with Excitement & Anxiety. Although One of Our Most Mysterious Organs, Scientists are Discovering the Brain Signals at A Very Fast Rate. Therefore, it is Appearing That the Distinction Between Brain & Machine is Closing at An Alarming Rate.
Understanding the Human Brain in the Present
To raise the topic of Mind Reading Technology: Will We Have It in The Future? we must appreciate the complex interrelationships of the brain itself. There are about 86 billion neurons in the human brain and there are thousands of connections created by these neurons that form neural networks that control thinking, emotion, memory, creativity and decisions as well as many other functions. Brain scanning technologies such as EEGs and MRIs have advanced to such an extent that they can measure some of the patterns in brain activity to identify certain types of thoughts and feelings associated with them. Although we do not formally have a method to read thoughts directly from someone's brain - we are increasingly able to make precise interpretations of the brain signals generated when an individual is thinking or feeling something.
